Mata's Final fan fiction

Authors point of view

In the name of the Lord
The reign of King George II
In the year seventeen hundred and fifty-five the sixteenth day of the third month
I write this to you
My dear Magnus

Do you remember when you said this was nonsense?
I find it brings me humor when your agitation has taken the best of you. However, let me say this to you, I know there is some sense in nonsense if you wish to look for it. It's as simple as that.

Yours faithfully
 Will Herondale

What the hell was that supposed to mean? Alec thought to himself, who is this William Herondale? How close was he to Magnus? Why has he kept this letter for so long? Alec couldn't help but pace back and forth in Magnus' sleeping quarters, fretting over a letter he thought should not concern him at all.

"Damn it Magnus, why do you still have this?" he said as his hand hit the wall with a thud.

"Did somebody call for me?" the spiky haired downworlder chirped as he started towards his master.

"I knew I could smell you once-" Magnus held himself back, his eyes trailed down to where Alec held the once private letter sent to him by none other than.

."William Herondale? Is he...Is he an aquaintance? Former lover or master? Or some guy you shared intimate letters with?"

"Alexander, calm down I didn't even know I still had that lying around. Just hand it over and I'll deal with it" Alec scoffed rolling his eyes,

"Oh yeah, that's why it was in your top drawer right? In the front pocket of your diary?" he couldn't help it, his lies were doing his head in and the last thing he needed was Magnus to be secretive about it.

"Alexander, just hand it over. This doesn't concern you, nor will it ever, now just give it to me" he sighed angrily inching his way over to Alec.

"Not until you tell me what he meant I wa-"

"DAMN IT ALEXANDER! WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN STUBBORN?!"

Magnus huffed as he snatched the letter out of his hands,

"Why can't you ever do anything I ask of you huh? Do you find it amusing? Or are you simply bored with your own life, that you decided to make mine the center of yours?"

Tears filled up to the rim, but due to his pride he blinked them away. He knew it, he knew his heart could not take it anymore. He had, had enough.

"Forgive me if I have crossed the line between master and protector. I will not pry into your private life nor will you in mine." With a throbbing chest and an aching heart, he marched himself out.

Magnus' Point of view

No! His words were haunting, does he not realize how much pain I've gone through trying to escape his grasp? And to think his bloodline has entered this household. I was hoping my worries would make like magic and disappear, but I guess not all things go the way you want them to. I sighed putting the letter away.

"He doesn't know does he?" the voice was familiar, I didn't have to turn around to see who it was.

"I've always wondered why I decided to make you immortal, it still puzzles me to this day Mr Gabriel Lightwood"

"Now, now Mr Bane did I not swear an oath to you? Did I not tell you I will help bring him down no matter what the consequences?"

"Calm down, nobody is bringing anyone down. Don't you think enough people have suffered due to this nonsense?"

I knew perfectly well, some one had to die. Blood is what he wanted to see, but there was no way in hell I was letting that happen.

Alec's point of view

"You know what we must do? Do you not?"

"Even if we do that, it will not-"

"You stupid Nephilim. Just do what you're told and leave him to me."

His voice was sour and unrecognizable, was this the warlock I came to admire? Or was this all a nightmare that I'm unfortunately living in.

"If Alec's in danger,  I must help him too."

Jace? When did he get back? What was he talking about? I knew my curiosity had grown, and I wanted to know more. In fact I needed to know more.

"If Alexander were not here, it would be easier for you, wouldn't it?"

"Even if he were, it still wouldn't be easy."

There it was again, Magnus and his voice, was he angry at me? Have I finally become a burden for him? I had to find out what was going on.

I didn't care whether he liked it or not, it was his fault for being secretive.

Authors point of view

Alec barged into the library where the "supposed" meeting was taking place, he fumed with anger and hurt.

"Is it that much of a burden for you to be my protector? Are my strengths as a Shadowhunter not enough to help you?"

Magnus gave a angry sigh, rubbing his temples with his slender hands.

"Alexander what are you doing in he-"

"This is my house, so don't ask me why I'm-"

"ALEC....NO!!!"

it went through his stomach, it didn't take long until crimson red blood came gushing out.

"Did you think, that I would actually help you out?"

Alec spluttered blood, turning to face his brother.

"J-Jace, h-how c-could y-you?"

he was amused, with a roll of his eyes he twisted the steele, pulling it out and licking the left over blood of his so called brother.

"Oh come on, did you really think I would help protect you? You're pathetic, all I had to do was wait until the right moment. Isn't that right master?"

Alec widened his eyes as he saw his brother Jace turned, and prostrated before him....

"M-MAGNUS?!" he said with one last breath, before everything turned black.
